Statement of Significance: |
Hat Head National Park is a crescent of seashore, dune systems and wetlands stretching from south of Hat Head to Smoky Cape. The area is a mosaic of wetlands, and various scrub and heath communities with one pocket of coastal rainforest on the slopes of Smoky Cape. The area is important for landscape and recreation values. It also included relict coastline dunes.
